Graduate students from National Taiwan University (NTU) conducted a fieldwork in the ACCA communities of Barangays Tanza and Tangos, Navotas from February 12-17, 2011. The team was composed of Hsin-yi Hsueh, Pei-Hsuan and Kray Lin, Yin-wei Huang and Ching Shan Wu. The Taiwanese students were accompanied by their professor, Dr. Liang-Chun Chen, to conduct a study focusing on issues related to urban poor communities. As part of their curriculum in Graduate Institute of Building and Planning, they interviewed the said communities several times and based on their preliminary findings, came up with a design proposal that included schemes for house improvements and repairs which would benefit the receiving communities. The NTU students also presented their work to the communities through a workshop facilitated by TAO-Pilipinas.
